Exceptional communication and effective public speaking skills are just a few of the many unique traits that define Deborah Glass. Deborah's extensive professional career started in her senior year of high school when she was accepted into an internship at Ford Motor Credit Company. Little did she know that she had walked into what would soon become her lifetime professional career.
After successfully completing the internship, Deborah was offered a full-time position as a processor in the Branch Operations Support department at Ford Motor Credit. She was then responsible for processing daily cash reports, resolving balance issues, and providing reports not only to the home office but also to all branches of the company.
Due to her diligence and commitment, Deborah, after years of mastering her role as a processor, was promoted to an accounting clerk. Responsible for preparing dealer reports and tracking all charges and delinquent accounts, she implemented a new process that increased the company's purchasing productivity. Through this process, time-consuming duplicate steps were eliminated. After only two years in the position of accounting clerk, Deborah was promoted to supervisor of Branch Operations.
During her time as a supervisor, she created and implemented numerous operating procedures that are still used by Ford Motor Credit Company today. She created an employee manual and handbook, which reduced employee training time and improved the accuracy of daily cash report processing. She implemented what she termed "The Team Concept," increasing her department's productivity from 58% to 89% per quarter.
Known by many for her successful conflict management skills, Deborah remained in her position as supervisor until her retirement from the company in 2002. Since that time, she has become a successful manager and entrepreneur in several multi-level businesses. After 30 years of educational and professional development in accounting, her wealth of experience remains highly valued by many. Deborah also invented, patented, and manufactured a hair weave attachment called "Comb-N-Weave". She introduced an innovative way of applying hair weave without damaging the hair. Today, she owns the company Rosa Hair Extensions. She served on the board of a charter school, The Detroit Learning Center. She is currently serving on the board for
Emmanuel House Recovery Program
for veterans and is the Director of the
Entrepreneurs' Ministry at her church,
Greater Grace Temple, in Detroit, MI.
And just recently, she was appointed
Director of the Entrepreneur Ministry
for Trinity Deliverance Church in
Detroit as well.
